What goes on during the
"
Inspection and Acceptance
"
process?

What do we mean by the Inspection and Acceptance process? After the Solar Hot Water system has been completely installed a number of organization may need to inspect it. The organization that issued the building permit will almost always need to inspect the finished produce. If a loan was part of the package, then the organization that issued the loan may want to inspect the final produce. If the package includes a rebate, then the organization that is giving the rebate will probable want to inspect the final product. The federal government has a tax credit for solar hot water systems. Luckily, the federal government does not want to inspect the product, but you will have to fill out a tax form for the credit. The state of Washington does not require sales tax on solar hot water equipment, however, you will have to sign a state tax form to get the exemption. A representative of Simple Solar Solutions will fill out the form. You then sign the form stating that the item on the form were installed on your property. We then keep the form in case of an audit. We, Simple Solar Solutions are responsible for changing or not charging sales tax on the product. If you sign the form for us, we will not change you sales tax on the solar equipment installed nor for the labor to install the solar equipment.
After all the inspections are completed, we will expect the homeowner to pay in full the amount as stated in the contract. This will complete the installation of the product, but it will not end our relationship. Thirty days after the installation is completed, we will make an appointment with the homeowner for us to perform one more inspection. If there are going to be any problems with the system, and so far we have not had any problems with our installations, most of them will happen within the first 30 days. We can identify any small problems before they can hurt the system. We were be looking for things like small leaks, over pressure or under pressure. We would like for you to only say good things about our products and we would like to keep you as a customer for the next thirty years.
Oh yes, you should have the system inspected once every three years. Inspections are cheap compare to repairs. We would like to do the next ten inspections for you.
